Hi, thanks for stopping by and welcome to my own personal review of The PurePoint Golf Full Swing® Fundamentals by Bobby Eldridge.
No doubt you'll find many so-called 'reviews' of this product on the internet, but I'm 100% confident you will not find a more comprehensive review than mine. That's because, like you, I actually play golf and I've bought the Pure Point Golf ebook and put its concepts to the test.
Unlike the The Simple Golf Swing by David Nevogt, the PurePoint Golf sales page isn't full of testimonials.
That doesn't make it a poor product - far from it - it's just that I always expect to see a few words from happy clients on any half decent sales page.

Instead, they've added a number of video testimonials which you can check out by clicking the video icon located on the top right of the sales page.
As you might expect, Bobby Eldridge, the ebook's acclaimed author makes some impressive claims regarding the PurePoint golf swing technique:
Is #1 Rated Golf Instruction System on the Internet
Designed to Help any Golfer BREAK 80!
Has Helped Golfers In 36 Countries Hit Further Than Ever Before
Has Helped 1000s of Golfers Shave 7 to 12 Off Their Handicaps
Has Been Tested By 1000s of Golfers Worldwide
Has a Success Rate of More Than 95%
The Full Swing® - 30 Years In Development
Bobby Eldridge invented the Full Swing technique some 30 years ago - and he's spent the last 30 years perfecting it.
He realised that the classical teaching methods of yesteryear were simply too difficult to learn, let alone master, with many students giving up without making much progress.
In terms of its approach The PurePoint Full Swing® technique is very similar to The Simple Golf Swing by David Nevogt that I have also reviewed on this site.
Both courses take a detailed mechanical look at the golf swing so that students learn the basic reference points as they relate to the grip, setup, backswing, downswing and follow through.
David Nevogt & Bobby Eldridge Get Together!
It is no surprise, therefore, to see that both authors have recently got together so that when you buy The Simple Golf Swing, you actually get 5 or 6 PurePoint DVDs included as part of the deal. Unfortunately, you don't get those DVDs when you buy Bobby's ebook!
There is no reciprocal arrangement when you purchase the Pure Point Golf Book which is why, on balance, I recommend the Simple Golf Swing first to those looking for an concise, easy to understand guide to the key elements of a successful golf swing - at least from a purely mechanical perspective.
As you will see from this review, there is no doubting the quality and comprehensiveness of the information contained in Bobby Eldridge's ebook. It's excellent and, in fact, if you took both ebooks together, you'd probably have all the key elements you need to make massive strides towards improving your golf swing.
For those where funds are not a problem, it might be worth buying both ebooks together if only for the excellent bonuses.
"PurePoint Golf" Full Swing® by Bobby Eldridge WHAT DO YOU GET?
According to their website, when you purchase The PurePoint Golf Full Swing, you get the following:
** BONUS OFFER WARNING
Although the bonuses they offer are legitimate (and actually quite excellent), I really did not like the fact that I had to part with my credit card details to get my "FREE" DVD. I'm sure I'm not the only one who might take exception to that.
The reason why is that you have to pay for the shipping which is currently $7.95 USPS mainland US or $14.95 USPS International.
The DVD itself is excellent. It's just a shame the purchase process left a bit of a bad taste!
Unfortunately, there's a similar problem with the second bonus. The sales page states that you get the following:
Unfortunately, this isn't quite true either!
Once you've purchased the ebook, and you access your download link, this is what they say about how to get BONUS 2:
So, in reality, the 2nd bonus is only "FREE" for 28 days. And, to qualify for this you still have to enter your credit card details!
Once again, you can't fault the content of the apprentice program (see my review below as the content is very detailed, extremely thorough and overall excellent) if you'd like some extra support with superb videos along the way.
It's just disappointing that you are not given the option to continue after the free trial, so that you decide when to impart your credit card details.
PART 1. PurePoint Full Swing Fundamentals eBook
Bobby Eldridge's Full Swing Method - 30 Years In Development
Like the Simple Golf Swing, the emphasis is very much on the mechanics of the swing described through its various stages with key reference points.
The Pure Point Golf ebook, however, is probably more detailed than the Simple Golf Swing Book.
The detail is probably just about right, although any more would have probably made it a little too technical for the average golfer.
What you may not realise is that the Pure Point Full Swing eBook is just one of many products offered by Pure Point Golf and it's clear that they are using this book to later market their outstanding selection of videos and DVDs that cover virtually every element of the golf game.
Although, you do get one of these videos 'free' (see above), The Simple Golf Swing Book comes with 5 of these Pure Point Golf DVDs/videos included as an extremely high value bonus.

THE GRIP
Bobby Eldridge has not changed his theory on the grip in over 30 years of golfing tuition.
Interestingly, he was first coach I ever heard making a distinction between a "man's grip" and a "ladies' grip" particularly in relationship to the size of your hands.
Did you know that the grip does more to effect actual ball flight than anything else in the game?
For example, as Bobby points out, if you continually slice the ball, you might try moving your grip more into the fingers.
Conversely, if you regularly pull or hook the ball you might try moving the grip more into the palm area of your hand.
LESSON 2
ADDRESS POSITION
(PAGE 5)
ADDRESS POSITION
In this lesson, Bobby encourages students to consider the human body as a 'building' in relation to the golf swing.
Starting with the feet and knees as the foundation, he provides an extremely detailed explanation of the correct orientation of the body in addressing the ball.
The hips, shoulders, spine and even the chin are discussed with images to highlight the correct posture or angle in each case.
Did you know that if you have a tendency to top your shots or hit thin, your chin could well be up too much?
LESSON 3
THE TAKE AWAY
(PAGE 13)
THE TAKE AWAY
Although I've never heard it referred to as such before, the "take away" refers to movement of the club head, shaft, hands and right shoulder all together at the start of the backswing.
According to Bobby, it's "one piece" until it arrives at the 9 o'clock position.
Did you know that during the backswing, the right knee should NEVER move?
In this lesson, I started to see several similarities with the approach of The Simple Golf Swing by David Nevogt.
There's considerable emphasis in both guides on the role of the right shoulder. David Nevogt describes the position the right shoulder relative to the spine as the central axis of the swing.
Bobby Eldridge, on the other hand, places less emphasis on this preferring to look at the right shoulder with reference to the head, hips, knees, the left shoulder and the club face. In fact, quite a number of different reference points which some may find hard to keep to check of.
LESSON 4
TOP OF BACKSWING
(PAGE 18)
THE TOP OF THE BACKSWING
As the club leaves the 9 o'clock position, it has to continue the arc to the top of the backswing.
Did you know you should look for 4 main checkpoints at this point?
Did you also know just how important the right knee is in the backswing?
Knowing it should never move became quite an important reference point for me with my back swing.
Here, Bobby goes into some detail to explain why.
LESSON 5
THE FIRST MOVE
(PAGE 21)
THE FIRST MOVE
"The secret of the backswing is the first move down" is the proud headline at the start of lesson 5.
This is quite a useful chapter for if you've previously heard references to "casting the golf club", "pulling on the handle" or "creating a tight angle". Bobby argues by focusing on these you're probably hitting too many shots to the right.
Indeed, I am living proof of that! Just ask our club pro!
Again, I found similarities in this lesson with the Simple Golf Swing method, particularly with regard to the right arm on the downswing and creating as wider arc as possible for maximum clubhead speed.
LESSON 6
THE DOWNSWING
(PAGE 25)
THE DOWN SWING
When you're committed in the downswing, there's no holding back.
The aim is simple! You're looking for a solid shot with maximum clubhead speed.
Bobby is very good at describing the various reference points as the downswing unfolds.
Did you know, for example, that as the swing starts down, it must remain on the same arc that it originally went back on?
LESSON 7
2 FEET BEFORE IMPACT
(PAGE 27)
TWO FEET BEFORE IMPACT
Making sure the golf club is swinging on the arc is the most important part of the downswing.
Get this right and Bobby is adamant that your golf game is well on the road to progress.
At this point, the discussion turns to the "release" - an oft-quoted term - and the whole debate about "timing".
Reassuringly, Bobby states that it is a lot easier to write about "timing" that it is to achieve it. I was reminded of David Nevogt's comment that, actually, you don't need to have great timing to be a good golfer.
No matter what your standard, therefore, it's my view that you do not need to dwell too long on timing issues. Even the experts agree it is only something that comes with continued practice.
LESSON 8
FROM IMPACT TO FINISH
(PAGE 29)
FROM IMPACT TO FINISH
Did you know that 95% of your ability to make good impact and hit a great shot is in your ability to control the club correctly from the address position to the top of the back swing?
This last lesson builds very much on what has been learnt in the previous lessons.
If you have got the grip, set up, address, backswing right, you've got everything you need to hit the ball consistently well.

BONUS 1. The PurePoint Golf Full Swing DVD
Bobby Eldridge's Guide To The Full Swing
In this video, you'll get to see Bobby Eldridge in action. Here's a sneak preview I managed to get from Bobby for you! It summarises the main parts of the video.

[PUREPOINT FULL SWING DVD - PREVIEW]
I recommend having your Purepoint ebook open so you can reference it during the video. The book provides the exact detail required and in the video, Bobby reiterates many of the important points and shows you exactly what he means by demonstrating himself.
Below, I've also included some technical screenshots so you can see what you'll be getting.
** Note my comments above regarding this bonus. Unfortunately, you have to pay for the shipping whether you're in the US or not, but the DVD itself is well worth it.
PUREPOINT FULL SWING DVD
If you've had difficulty understanding all the points made in the ebook then the video companion will help you immensely.
I have mentioned before that the book at times is quite technical - that's really because Bobby's technique requires you to note and keep track of various reference points during the swing. I imagine that can be quite difficult for some people.
That's why the video is so useful as, having watched it, you should reread the book as it's likely to make a lot more sense.
REFERENCE POINT 1
Bobby's full swing method is based around several important reference points.
Here's the first one!
THE SETUP
What you do before you even start swinging the club can have major implications for the final result.
FULL SWING - SWING PLANE
What you do in the backswing is crucial for the final outcome of the stroke.
Working towards what Bobby calls the 'arc' is important in the development of a consistent swingplane.
THE 7 MAIN CHECKPOINTS
I've given away a summary of the ebook here by including this screenshot.
Here you see the 7 main reference points that you should be looking for on completion of the swing.
You'll need to read the book to understand how to these relate to each other!
BONUS 2. PurePoint Golf Apprentice Program (**Excellent)

[PURE POINT APPRENTICE PROGRAM PREVIEW]
Bobby Eldridge demonstrates how to chip correctly - one of the videos you'll find waiting in the PurePoint apprentice program.
In this video you can see how Bobby coherently communicates his points. I tended to chip using different clubs - usually an 8 or 9 iron or my trusty wedge. I used to vary my swing and strength depending on how far I wanted the ball to travel.
Bobby's technique here is to perform the same swing regardless of the golf club. I actually play all my chip shots like this now and I'm much better at predicting where the ball is going to end up.
PUREPOINT GOLF APPRENTICE PROGRAM: CONTENTS
Here's a summary of the apprentice program. Each month is dedicated to a different part of the golf game.

I have to admit that I don't think I've ever come across a more comprehensive online golf instruction course quite as informative and as comprehensive as this.
I'll give you a sneak preview of what you'll find in MONTH 1, WEEK 1:
WHAT TO EXPECT EACH WEEK?
When you log on to the Purepoint Golf Apprentice Program and click on the 'LESSONS' menu option, this is what you'll see:
1. DVD CLIPS (** EXCELLENT)
The format is quite simple. A single DVD clip illustrates each lesson and then you're given a number of drills followed by assignments to improve.
Here's a screenshot of the first DVD clip:
2. PRACTICE DRILLS (** EXCELLENT)
Bobby then takes you through the salient points as they relate to each lesson. It's impressive stuff indeed.
Here are the screenshots for the first 4 practice drills:
Practice Drill 1: Ball Going Downhill
Practice Drill 2: Clubface Opens Slightly In The Backswing
Practice Drill 3: Right Shoulder Tilts Up In The Backswing
Practice Drill 4: Folded Towel In The Backswing
3. ASSIGNMENTS
And then there's the assignments:
As you can clearly see, the explanations are excellent.
I've found the assigments particularly useful as, in the past, although I've been shown many different techniques and strokes, I've never been given such thoroughly thought out drills and exercises to help meet the objective.
Most coaches tend to put too much information and detail into their instruction. Many students, however, require a stroke to be broken down into its simple pieces with each part practiced individually.
Most importantly for me, when I've found part of my game in difficulty, not only do I now have standard reference points to focus back on, I also have exercises to help me get the reference points - that probably is the most advantageous thing about Bobby Eldridge's Apprentice Program.
And, if all that wasn't enough, there's even more thrown in besides.
WHAT ELSE IS IN THE PUREPOINT GOLF APPRENTICE PROGRAM?
For only $14.97 per month, you have to say there's incredible value in the Pure Point Golf Apprentice Program.
In fact, I can't think what's missing or what else you might actually need.
Without giving too much away, here are some screenshots of the other features.
4. PURE POINT GOLF FORUMS
If you've have a question, why not consult those who are already using the program?
5. PURE POINT GOLF STATISTICS TRACKER
Personally, I track my statistics manually on good old fashioned paper as I have done for years. But for those, who want to record the last detail of every round you play, this could be quite valuable.
6. PURE POINT GOLF MEMBERS' COMMUNITY
Not to be confused with the forum, the members' community allows you to connect with other golf players from all over the world.
You can even have your own blog or post news of an event your club might be holding.
7. PURE POINT GOLF TELESEMINARS (** EXCELLENT)
If you have high bandwidth, your monthly membership gives you access to every single webinar that's ever been held by the Pure Point Golf team.
You'll notice they correspond with each month of the Apprentice Program such that each teleseminar is devoted to each Pure Point golf lesson.
Excellent additional value as you can listen to the questions posed by other members of the program.
Now, this is cool. The only problem is most players do not have a video of themselves swinging the club.
My advice, do it! Everyone has an iPhone or Blackberry type device these days and you can easily get your golf partner to record your swing for you.
You will be absolutely amazed when you compare what you think you're doing with what you are actually doing.
Use this software in conjunction with the lessons and ebook for best results.

Value For Money
As you can see, when you buy the PurePoint Golf Full Swing ebook, you get an enormous amount of extra value - even if you do have to pay an ongoing subscription.
There's is no doubt that Bobby Eldridge is a clear expert in his field and his passion and enthusiasm as well as his commitment to helping you improve your golf game is evident in everything he has written and produced.
Without question, Pure Point Golf is one of the foremost golf resources online today.
EASY TO UNDERSTAND - 4 / 5
However, in comparing the Pure Point ebook to The Simple Golf Swing, it's fair to say that Bobby goes into a little more detail that might suit more experienced and better golf players. I can't help feeling that players newer to the game might find themselves a little lost after the first few chapters.
That said, the apprentice program more than makes up for this as the detail in the videos is second to none.
There are many similarities between the two approaches and this is no doubt why both authors have recently teamed up and David Nevogt offers Pure Point Golf videos as part of his bonus offer.
EASY TO APPLY - 4 / 5
Easily applying new techniques is crucial if a golf manual is going to be of value. It's clear that Bobby's methods have already helped 1000s around the world which clearly says something for his material.
Being an experienced golfer with years of coaching lessons behind me, I easily understood most of the material. I'm not sure newbies would find his concepts easy to follow with the ebook alone.
That's why the videos in the apprentice program are extremely important. At $14.97 per month, this program represents extremely good value.
BONUS VALUE - 4.5 / 5
Hopefully, you've noted my views on the bonuses that are offered when you buy the Pure Point Golf Full Swing ebook.
Initially, the sign-up process, not gettingquite what was promised on the sales page and having to pay for shipping as well as committing to an ongoing monthly subscription left a bad taste.
However, if you can accept this and then understand that actually what you're getting represents incredible value, it's well worth going ahead. You can't be disappointed with the material.
VALUE FOR MONEY - 5 / 5
So, what's it all going to cost?
The ebook is $47 and then you have to pay either US or international shipping to claim your 'free' Full Swing DVD.
The first month of the apprentice program is free, but then you have to pay $14.97 per month to enjoy the contents I've listed above.
To be fair, Bobby should have advertised the apprentice program at $14.97 per month from the outset. It's worth every penny, particularly the practice drills, teleseminars and golf swing analyzer which are superb!
OVERALL - 4.5 / 5
If we are talking only about the golf instruction books, then I probably prefer The Simple Golf Swing. I'm concerned about the ease of application for newer players and the fact that Bobby relies upon many technial reference points in his teachings. That could confuse some players for sure. More experienced players, however, should be able to easily follow.
However, there is no getting away from the fact that the Pure Point Apprentice Program is worth signing up for on its own. It's probably the most comprehensive online golf instruction resource available today.
In fact, I can't think what I would add to it.
I, therefore, recommend you get Bobby Eldridge's book just to get on the program - don't forget there's a 60 day moneyback guarantee if you don't agree with me.
